The months of staying home, staying safe and staying distant have altered day-to-day life in almost every way. Yet as we are adjusting to this new normal, it’s hard to envision what life would’ve been had the world not given us the time to slow down. Ahead we spoke to 5 women creatives to see just how quarantine has affected their routines, rituals, and daily relationship with self-care.

What does your daily self-care routine look like?

Before quarantine, I was pretty laid back when it came to my self-care routine, but one thing I always advocated for was sleep. I can’t get enough of it, and it’s essential in so many ways. Now skincare Skin care has been something I’ve invested more time in. My current routine involves switching between cleansers. I use the blueberry cleanser by Glow Recipe (the smell is divine), and a drugstore lemon scrub cleanser that also exfoliates. After that I use a rose water toner followed up with a vitamin c serum from drunk elephant. This product has really transformed my skin and tone. I love it. I’m not really set on a face moisturizer at the moment but I use the Neutrogena water cream. I also just splurged on a face oil by herbivore botanicals until I come out with my own. :) Besides skin, I am trying to stretch more for my back and limbs but I need a yoga mat. I’ll make a promise to myself to get my yoga on soon.

How has quarantine shifted your practice?

Quarantine has added more time to my schedule. I’ve always been big on research but now I really have the time to read reviews on products that claim to do great things for your skin and body.

How do define your relationship with self-care?

My brand, Bouquette Beauty, prides itself on bringing out the beauty in people. I like to use toxic free ingredients and formulas that enhance self-care through body oils, lip care, and anything that enhances your glow.
