We know the month of September to be the beginning of fall, but during the month of October sensations of autumn are at their peak. The morning air turns crisp, colored leaves begin to fall and signs of fall, like pumpkins, cozy sweaters, and vampy lips, are all around us. There’s so much to be excited about but the final day of October is one that can’t be beat. With Halloween fast approaching and 2020 coming even closer to an end, there are plenty of things to celebrate. What better way to do that than with a delcious beverage? Check out the recipes below for some seasonal cocktails sure to please every type of drink lover.
For the Wine Lover: Sparkling Fall Sangria
Ingredients: Prosecco, Orange Liqueur, Deep Eddy’s Cranberry Vodka, Cranberry Juice, Apples
How to make: This drink is fairly simple to make. Pour in 3 oz. of prosecco, 1 oz. orange liqueur, 1 shot of vodka, and a splash of cranberry juice and mix. Then slice up some apples and add to your drink. For a picture perfect look, rim your glass using a lemon slice and a cinnamon sugar blend and throw in a cinnamon stick.
Why you’ll love it: This drink is perfectly sweet and reminiscent of fall. The lightness of the prosecco and the tanginess of the orange and cranberry flavors mix very well together. You can also easily play with the ratio of each ingredient, depending on how strong you want your drink to be and which flavors you prefer. It’s a drink that will definitely leave you wanting more than one glass (just make sure you drink responsibly!).
For the Sweet Tooth: Spiked Caramel Apple Cider
Ingredients: Apple Cider, Caramel Sauce, Spiced Rum
How to make: Heat up some apple cider on your stove and add in your desired amount of caramel syrup. Stir until uniform. Let cool and pour into glass with two shots of Captain Morgan and stir. If you’re looking to indulge your sweet tooth even more, you can add some whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon on the top.
Why you’ll love it: This drink is extremely indulgent and comforting; it’s basically the adult version of a candy apple. It is also very easy to make and versatile. If you’re not a fan of rum you can always swap it out for your preferred brand of vodka.
For Those Looking to Pack a Punch: Apple Spice Madcap
Ingredients: Angry Orchard Hard Cider, Fireball Whiskey, Apple Cider, Apples, Pomegranate
How to make: Add a shot of fireball to your standard hard cider drink and add a splash of apple cider. Let some sliced apples and pomegranate soak in for an added subtle fruity flavor.
Why it’s good: This drink is perfect for someone looking to add a little spice to their drink. You’re taking a basic hard cider and adding more elements to it to create a more festive, flavorful, and put together drink. It will definitely warm you up on a cold night.
